Brussels terror alert: City lockdown after Belgium warns of 'imminent' attack as Paris manhunt continues

Amid growing fears that Brussels is a prime target for a repeat of the Paris attacks, it has fallen eerily still, reports The Telegraph's Gregory Walton.

He says: "The city's mayor is reported to have personally contacted popular establishments to urge them to shutter, such was the fear of an imminent terror strike as it emerged that several suspected jihadis could be on the loose in the Belgian capital.
"Major hotels in the centre were told by police to lock their doors amid a flurry of cancellations by travellers deterred by the state of emergency
